Our Leadership
ECG was co-founded by Dr. Naufel Alhassan and Mohammed Alhassan in 2021 to answer a critical market need: the convergence of high-level political strategy and on-the-ground operational excellence.
Dr. Naufel Alhassan | Co-Founder & CEO The Strategist & Policymaker Dr. Naufel brings the institutional memory of Iraq’s highest levels of government. A researcher in institutional reform and former Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Prime Minister, he played a prominent role in designing the government’s economic reform agenda. His experience leading the Economic Reform Unit (ERU) and partnering with the World Bank, IMF, and G7 missions allows ECG to offer unparalleled insight into the regulatory and political landscape. Having served as the Commercial Counselor in Washington D.C. and participated in writing the "Iraq Vision 2030," Dr. Naufel ensures our clients’ strategies align with the nation's long-term trajectory.
Mohammed Alhassan | Co-Founder & COO The Operator & Financier Mohammed anchors the firm in operational reality. With a powerful combination of technical expertise in Petroleum Engineering and Finance, he bridges the gap between complex field operations and high-level business planning. Bringing over 15 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, Mohammed’s strength lies in systems thinking and execution—translating strategic goals into scalable, real-world systems. He ensures that our advisory services are not theoretical concepts, but executable blueprints for success.
